Tempur-Pedic
TEMPUR is a viscoelastic and temperature-sensitive material made from open cells that form themselves to your body. Thanks to the open cells, air can enter your mattress without affecting your body temperature. The cell structure forms itself to your body and provides full support where it is most needed, without creating pressure on other areas. When you get up, the Tempur material returns to its original shape. The Tempur material's density is 85-110 kg/m3. Thanks to the open cell structure, air circulates through your mattress.

Tempur-Pedic Mattress

Tempur forms itself to your body
The material is able to withstand G-forces. Tempur was developed in the beginning of the 1970s by NASA with the aim of relieving the enormous pressure suffered by astronauts on lift-off. The strain placed great demands on the material.
The Tempur material adapts to body temperature. The mattress forms itself to the body, providing the precise pressure relief needed. The material distributes the pressure and body weight evenly - a characteristic that makes it especially good for back pain. Studies show that pressure on the skin is reduced by up to 50%. Furthermore, it increases blood flow. You will feel a sensation of weightlessness, just like the astronauts do. It isn't so strange that Tempur is the only material recommended by 30,000 back experts the world over.
Tempur is extremely tear resistant. The material retains its elasticity and always returns to its original shape. Thanks to the Tempur mattress' unique characteristics, your back pain can be relieved. It will give a pleasurable night's sleep, every night, for years to come.
Tempur – cells with pressure-relieving qualities
The material is made from 100% flexible polyurethane. It is viscoelastic, temperature sensitive and has pressure-relieving properties. Normal polyurethane has cells with irregular shapes that only squeeze together under pressure and soon lose their properties. The Tempur material, on the other hand, is made of cells that react to body temperature and weight, and rearrange themselves to make a perfect fit for the body's contours.
Tempur uses only the most mild and environmentally friendly products and production methods available. All Tempur products come with a certificate to show that they contain no harmful substances. In addition, batteries of tests are continuously performed on the materials and its contents on a regular basis to help insure the quality of every Tempur product.
Tempur products do not cause allergic reactions and are dust mite resistant. There have been no cases reported of Tempur inducing asthma, allergies or rashes. Tempur does sometimes receive questions about allergies, but they stem from confusion between the Tempur material and latex - a substance that is sometimes used in mattresses and pillows and which can sometimes cause allergic reactions.
